Shazan's story
Why Shazan founded Padi Mediation
Shazan's journey into mediation began not in a classroom, but in real life. Having witnessed first-hand the effect family breakdown can have on parents, children and wider family relationships, she saw a clear need for a calmer, more constructive way through separation.
That experience shaped her belief that conflict doesn't have to define this chapter of a family's life. Over many years working closely with families, she has developed a deep understanding of how separation affects people differently, and how the right support at the right time can change the outcome for everyone involved, especially children.
Shazan is a trained and registered family mediator with the Family Mediation Council (FMC), and a member of the Family Mediators Association (FMA). She brings a genuine understanding of different cultures and communities to her work, helping families from all backgrounds feel heard, respected and supported.
Our philosophy
A Positive Attitude in Decision Making and Implementation
PADI isn't just our name. It's the way Shazan works with every family. Separation brings hard decisions, but how those decisions are made, and carried through, matters just as much as the decisions themselves.
Positive Attitude
Approaching every conversation with empathy, patience and a genuine belief that families can find common ground.
Decision Making
Guiding balanced, informed conversations so both parties reach decisions that genuinely work for their family.
Implementation
Helping turn agreements into clear, practical arrangements that hold up in day-to-day life, not just on paper.
Credentials
Qualified, regulated and trusted
Shazan works to the professional standards set by the Family Mediation Council (FMC). As an FMC Registered Family Mediator, her practice is independently regulated through the Family Mediation Standards Board (FMSB), giving you confidence that every case is handled with impartiality, confidentiality and care.
